Another area where the remake excelled was in the final boss fight with Nemesis. Instead of just an indistinct blob, it was a proper towering monstrosity with Jill actually picking up and firing the massive rail gun to kill it. The first shot isn’t enough and the player must maneuver around the Nemesis’s huge tendrils to charge up the next. Once this is done, the second shot brings it down, thus leading Jill shoving the cannon into its mouth and firing one final shot, resulting in an explosion of blood and viscera.
