Final Battle – Resident Evil (1998/2002)

The initial encounter with the Tyrant, as it kills Wesker and escapes its tube in the lab, is tense but the final battle ramps things up further. Seeing it effortlessly rush towards the player, whether it’s in the original or remake, and swipe them aside is absolutely terrifying (and the countdown timer didn’t help matters either). All of this led to the classic trope of a rocket launcher being dropped for the player to wipe out the Tyrant once and for all.
