Bethesda’s first Fallout after seven years received various responses at release, depending on what players liked and didn’t like. Nevertheless, exploring the Commonwealth, venturing into the radioactive unknown and scavenging for materials while discovering all sorts of new stories still carried that signature Bethesda charm. The gunplay also saw significant improvements, resulting in faster-paced combat. It’s probably not everyone’s first choice for favorite Fallout, but Fallout 4 is still entertaining.
