Control embodies Remedy’s love of the supernatural while venturing into new directions. The third-person shooter had a Metroid-like structure, which made for fun backtracking and uncovering secrets, while the combat mixed powerful psychic abilities with excellent gunplay. Of course, the various mind-bending scenarios, including the amazing Ashtray Maze, made it even better.
