L.A. Noire

An antithesis to the packed open worlds of its competitors (including Rockstar’s own GTA), L.A. Noire’s setting of the city in the late 40s was more to do with atmosphere and supporting the narrative. And make no mistake – between investigating different cases and interrogating suspects while advancing the plot, Team Bondi and Rockstar were on point. Of course, having some of the most realistic facial animations, even to this day, is pretty insane as well.
