S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl
Almost a year later, GSC Game World’s S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 is much closer to what it first set out to offer. The post-nuclear grounds of the Zone remain as haunting as ever, with powerful Anomalies and horrifying mutants to deal with. But with A-Life 2.0 finally coming into its own, it feels more alive, existing independently of the player to create a truly immersive sandbox. There’s still a ways to go, but it’s a compelling survival sandbox all the same.
