Gearbox Software significantly upped the ante with world size in Borderlands 3 and introduced a number of different planets to explore. They may not feel all that different structurally but the number of side quests and memorable characters, from the non-violent but secretly blood-thirsty monk on Athenas to the coffee-addicted Lorelei on Promethea. If nothing else, there are enough interesting bosses, secrets and Easter Eggs to make exploring every inch of these planets worth it.
