Marvel’s Spider-Man
Given the fever around the MCU, Insomniac’s take on Spider-Man may have been a massive success even without much effort. Nevertheless, on top of crafting a narrative that introduces several core elements of the series while delivering excellent pacing and some fresh changes, it also provided an incredible open world to explore. Manhattan is rendered in exquisite detail and the swinging mechanics make exploration a joy, though there’s more than enough to do in terms of activities, from chasing birds to clearing out areas infested with enemies.
