Sleeping Dogs
Underrated to this very day, Sleeping Dogs started as a new True Crime title before Square Enix bought the publishing rights. Taking place in Hong Kong, the story focuses on Wei Shen as he infiltrates the Sun On Yee Triad and, in true Infernal Affairs fashion, is torn between his criminal life and official duties. The city itself is a delight to explore with numerous activities and side missions while the combat is excellent, taking cues from the Batman: Arkham series while feeling more grounded and visceral. In terms of open world attention to detail and story-telling, Sleeping Dogs remains a classic.
