Demon’s Souls Remake
Some remakes come and go, but others stand the test of time, recommended alongside their inspiration (if not more so). While Bluepoint’s remake of Demon’s Souls is only four years old, it’s incredible how well it stands up to the current crop of PS5 exclusives. The presentation remains top-notch, while the combat and world design sticks very close to the original, making for an endearing (and occasionally frustrating) challenge. Contemporary Souls titles may top the original in several ways, but as far as remakes go, Demon’s Souls is highly recommended.
