However, the Mad Max aesthetic is much stronger in RAGE 2. Developed on the Apex Engine, the open world first person shooter from Avalanche Studios and id Software offers seamless transitions between environments. The sheer amount of colours is crazy but it belies the excellent alpha effects, lighting and texture quality. Judging by the most recent gameplay footage, animations still need a bit more polish but overall, RAGE 2 brings the colours of carnage to life.
