“It looks a lot like Nioh 1,” you’d probably say and that’s not far off the mark. Nioh 2 features a custom protagonist this time who’s half-Yokai and half-human thus drawing upon some powerful new Yokai abilities. Of course, there are heaps of new bosses to fight and new weapons to wield but you also fight through the Dark Realm and can summon up to two players to help in battles. Nioh 2 will bring its special brand of punishing difficulty to PS4 in early 2020.
