Avalanche Studios has been hyping up a possible Just Cause 3 announcement in the past several months. Speaking to Polygon recently, Avalanche Studios founder Christopher Sundburg said to, “wait till June. We’ll have more to say in June.”

But more to say about what? Well, it turns out that Avalanche has not one but two major projects in development. “We have two bigger projects in development. One in New York. One in Stockholm. And we just started a mobile division – it’s just three people.”

Even more interestingly, Microsoft is expected to reveal the next Xbox at this year’s E3. Could an announcement in June somehow coincide with whatever the Xbox 720 will be packing? It’s already a given that Avalanche is developing for PlayStation 4 – we’ve heard their enthusiasm on the subject before – but let’s see if that extends to all next generation consoles this June.

In the mean time, check out our full interview with Avalanche Studios here.
