Attending Sony’s E3 media briefing? You’re likely be receiving a PS4 beta access code for Visceral Games’ Battlefield: Hardline. Those who RSVP’d the event reportedly received the beta codes for PS4 according to NeoGAF.
Normally we’d still be skeptical but even sources close to IGN more or less confirmed that this would be happening. Those who receive beta access will be able to play the map High Tension ahead of Battlefield: Hardline’s release in Fall.
Battlefield: Hardline was initially due to be revealed at EA’s E3 media briefing but was leaked ahead of schedule when assets and a website for the game was discovered. Community members who attended a special event for the game also leaked details on the game and an entire gameplay trailer – albeit one that was six months old – was even leaked.
In development for PS4, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS3 and PC, Battlefield: Hardline will be the first game in the series not developed by DICE. It will focus on cops vs. crooks in various urban warfare settings.
