Doom Pushes You to Keep Moving on the Battlefield

Doom

id Software’s Doom isn’t meant to be your typical tactical shooter or one that relies on cover-based mechanics – like the older games of yore, it pushes you to confront your enemies, keep moving and adapt to every single challenge that comes your way. In a new video from Gamescom, you can watch several members of the development team discussing the kind of nuance required in Doom and how it will be a test of your skill.

Doom is the long in-development sequel to id Software’s illustrious franchise which was given a makeover not too long ago into its current state. It’s centered once again on killing the demons from Hell with a handful of awesome guns. What more do you need in terms of story?

A beta for the game’s multiplayer will be available for those who pre-ordered last year’s Wolfenstein: The New Order and Doom itself will release on Xbox One, PS4 and PC in Q1/Q2 2016.
