Monster Hunter World Updated Event Schedule 9

Monster Hunter World is releasing on PC imminently, and the excitement is palpable. Recently, we saw about 20 minutes of crisp gameplay footage for the game, but what we have now is a lot meatier- 6 hours of gameplay footage of Monster Hunter World PC, thanks to a livestream on Twitch by MonsterHunterNYC.

The game in this livestream is running not on Nvidia hardware, but rather an 8 GB AMD R390x GPU, with 16 GB RAM and an i7 5930k CPU backing it up. It is, as you might expect, looking pretty sharp. You can take a look at the entire thing (or as much of it as you want to, from its 6 hour-runtime) through the link provided above. For reference, take a look at the game’s system requirements here.

Monster Hunter World on PC is a CPU-taxing game, but Capcom recently explained why that is the case- essentially, the game loads the entire level into the system’s memory in one go in order to avoid interstitial loading during gameplay. You can read a much more detailed and thorough answer from the horse’s mouth itself over here. If you’re worried about any bugs or crashes this might result on, Capcom have got you covered with an incoming fix.

Monster Hunter World launches on PC on August 9, while it has been available since January for PS4 and Xbox One.
