Resident Evil 2

Capcom have dropped a new trailer for Resident Evil 2 to mark the beginning of the Tokyo Game Show 2018. The trailer includes a wealth of familiar characters, including the return of Ada Wong, who’s sporting a fetching trenchcoat. Check it out below.

Other memorable moments are also featured, including Sherry Birkin, who encounters Claire Redfield and explains the situation surrounding her father; Leon Kennedy saving Claire from zombies to open the game; William Birkin attacking Leon; and of course, Ada’s appearance as she explains her role. As you’d expect, Ada is as full of mystery this time around as she was in the PlayStation One classic.

Resident Evil 2 isn’t a “remake” of the original game so much as “re-imagining”, as it features new story beats and an over-the-shoulder style of gunplay. It’s built on RE Engine, the same engine that was used for Resident Evil 7: biohazard, and looks pretty fabulous. The game will release on January 25th, 2019 for Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
