Donut County

Annapurna Interactive’s Donut County is already bound for the Xbox One after releasing for iOS, PS4, and PC. However, it seems that the strange puzzler from Ben Esposito is coming to the Nintendo Switch as well. It releases on December 18th for both Xbox One and Switch, and will cost $12.99.

What is Donut County though? It essentially focuses on a quirky cast of characters, including some shady racoons, as the player manipulates a hole that goes around swallowing everything. The core mechanic is figuring out what to suck into the hole first as it grows in size and eventually consumes everything in that particular level.

It may sound ridiculous – and the plot itself is pretty weird on its own – but the trailer below should explain things better. Donut County received some fairly good reviews when it first released – user reviews on the Steam page are hovering around “Very Positive”. How will the action translate over to Switch? We’ll find out next week.
