It was announced last month that Wolfenstein: Youngblood would feature support for Nvidia RTX, but it seems that those hoping to play the game on PC with ray tracing enabled will have to wait a while to get that feature. Though work on ray tracing support for the game is currently underway, the game won’t support it when it launches a few days from now.

That is as per MachineGames’ Jerk Gustafsson, who is executive producer on the game. While speaking in an interview with GamesBeat, Gustafsson confirmed that Nvidia is still working on ray tracing support for Wolfenstein: Yougblood. But though there is no date confirmed yet for when it will be added to the game, Gustafsson also assured it will look good whenever it arrives.

“We’re working together with Nvidia on that, but raytracing won’t be available at launch,” said Gustafsson. “The engineers at Nvidia are still hard at work getting that solution to look as good as possible for the game, and the date is still to be determined. But from what we’ve seen so far, it’ll be good.”

Wolfenstein: Yougblood recently wrapped up development, and will be launching on July 26 for the PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo Switch- check out the system requirements for the PC version through here, and get details on when you can pre-load on each platform here.
