Grinding Gear Games, the New Zealand-based developer behind Path of Exile, has shared its 2020 development plans for the free to play action RPG. Much like last year, the studio will crank out four expansions with the next encompassing update 3.10.0. Fans can expect an announcement in late February, though the timing of announcements “may vary by a week or two from last year’s ones, as we work around various holidays/events and make sure that the bigger ones have enough time to be fully tested.”

Update 4.0.0 aka Path of Exile 2 is still being developed with new content and features that might be shown around E3 time. The public beta is still slated to release in late 2020 though this will depend on how well the acts and systems are developed. Good news for console players though – the console development team will be expanded this year to deliver specific features more quickly.

Path of Exile Mobile is also in the works with the mobile team incorporating Android support. Whatever was showcased at ExileCon 2019 is being worked on and expanded so hopefully we should see more from the title in the coming month. Stay tuned for more details in the meantime especially with the Metamorph League still ongoing.
