Path of Exile Metamorph

Grinding Gear Games’ free to play action RPG Path of Exile will be receiving tons of new content today. Alongside Conquerors of the Atlas, which revamps the end-game, there’s the new Metamorph League. Players will slay monsters and combine their parts to create a boss for different rewards.

To showcase how a Metamorph map will work, the developer has released a short video. You can customize the boss’s eyes, lungs, heart, brain and liver, with each part offering its own unique properties. Some may grant different attacks like Charged Cyclone and increased life regen to the boss’s repertoire but also drop more currency items, for example.

As players progress through the League, they can find different Catalysts to add quality to Jewellery and even battle bosses in the Atlas to create some truly terrifying encounters. Path of Exile’s Metamorph League will launch alongside Conquerors of the Atlas at 12 PM PT today for PC – it arrives next week for Xbox One and PS4.
