Monolith Soft’s Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition will be making its way to the Nintendo Switch next month. Touted as a remaster, it features fully remade visuals from the ground-up along with other gameplay improvements. But that’s not all – the soundtrack is also being remastered, and according to Nintendo AU on Twitter, you can choose between the new mix or stick with the original.

It’s a nice choice to have, especially for those who appreciated the original compositions from the Wii days. Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition will also feature new content in the form of an epilogue, “Future Connected”, which takes place one year after the main story. You can play through the base game’s story and then the epilogue or jump straight into it from the get-go.

Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition is out on May 29th for Nintendo Switch. Fans of the New Nintendo 3DS port should take note – none of its exclusive features have made it into the Switch version. Stay tuned for more details on gameplay improvements and other changes en route to launch.
