Over the last few weeks, CD Projekt RED have been dropping brief details on some of the gangs and companies that will be occupying Night City in Cyberpunk 2077 that players will have run-ins with. Having talked about the 6th Street gang, Kung-Tao and the Animals, and the Valentinos gang, they’ve now shared some information on the Voodoo Boys over on Twitter.
The Voodoo Boys are described as an “enigmatic” gang based in Pacifica. They’re experts at Netrunning, and are also “edgerunners,” which means they have a fondness for breaking all rules that can be broken, and often program viruses to freeze neural networks. Most interestingly, they’re also devoted to “uncovering the secrets of the Old Net” and the secrets behind the Blackwall, which is a virtual wall that supposedly keeps all free AIs from escaping into the rest of the virtual world.
Cyberpunk 2077 is due out on September 17 for the PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Stadia. It’s been confirmed to be making an appearance at IGN’s Summer of Gaming Event, while CD Projekt RED have also announced their own “Night City Wire” for June 11.
