Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade

At Sony’s recent State of Play, Square Enix unveiled Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade, an enhanced version of Final Fantasy 7 Remake that includes a new story episode with Yuffie. It confirmed that the title would have a Graphics mode for prioritizing 4K resolution and a Performance mode for 60 FPS action. Photo Mode, graphical improvements and faster loading times were also confirmed.

However, it seems that the new content will be exclusive to PS5 only. Square Enix noted that, “The new Yuffie Episode is optimized for PlayStation 5, so it is not available on PlayStation 4.” The story sees her sneaking into Shinra Corporation to steal a Materia for her homeland and along with new characters, also features “multiple new combat and gameplay additions.”

While PS4 players can upgrade to the PS5 version for free, the new story episode must be purchased separately. Pricing for this hasn’t been confirmed but Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade’s digital Standard Edition will cost $70 on PS5. There’s also a Digital Deluxe Edition which includes the game, a mini OST and digital artbook. Pre-orders will also receive a bonus Cacstar weapon for Yuffie to use.

Other features in Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade include DualSense support like haptic feedback and using the adaptive triggers while bike racing. Classic Mode is also receiving some new difficulty settings to provide “new ways to play.”

Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade is out on June 10th for PS5. Stay tuned for more details in the meantime. Square Enix also announced two mobile titles, Final Fantasy 7: The First Soldier and Final Fantasy 7: Ever Crisis, releasing in 2021 and 2022 respectively.
