After the icy reception to its E3 2021 re-reveal, PlatinumGames has been conducting closed beta tests for its live service action RPG Babylon’s Fall. Phase 3 will take place from November 15th to 17th but before that, the developer and publisher Square Enix will be hosting a “Special Preliminary Broadcast” for the same.
It will take place on October 23rd at 6 AM PT via YouTube. Along with briefly looking at the previous two phases, there will be a sneak peek at all of the improvements coming in Phase 3 (some of which can be viewed here). PlatinumGames’ Kenji Saito and Takahisa Sugiyama are confirmed to appear with Yosuke Saito and Junichi Ehara of Square Enix.
In development for PS4, PS5 and PC, Babylon’s Fall doesn’t currently have a release date. Initially teased as a co-op action RPG back at E3 2018, it would be re-revealed this year as a live service title along with receiving a major visual facelift. The reception was less than positive though with the reveal trailer facing an overwhelming number of dislikes. Stay tuned for more details in the coming days.
