Horizon Forbidden West

Horizon Forbidden West will be out in less than a month, and Sony has been ramping up the marketing for Guerrilla Games’ upcoming open world action RPG in the lead-up to its launch. Recently, they released a new trailer for the game, focusing on its story. Check it out below.

The newest trailer focuses on the central conflict that will drive the game’s story, with Aloy heading to the titular Forbidden West in search of answers as she looks to protect the world from a blight that’s quickly killing it. This will bring her in contact with new and returning characters as she get embroiled in a conflict between tribes. Characters like Sylens, Erend, and Varl will return, while new faces show up as well, including Regalla, who is the leader of a rebel group, Hekarro, the Chief of the Tenakth tribe, and Tilda, who is described as “a mysterious new character with a special connection to the ancient past”.

According to Game Informer, Regella is being played by Angela Bassett, while Tilda is being played by Carrie-Ann Moss of The Matrix fame (she also played Aria T’Loak in Mass Effect 2 and 3). The trailer, meanwhile, also shows various locations and a number of machines that we’ll be crossing paths with in the game. Sony has also released a bunch of new screenshots. Check it all out below.

Horizon Forbidden West launches on February 18 for PS5 and PS4.
