Apex Legends Mobile

Apex Legends Mobile – first officially announced nearly a year ago at this point – was supposed to be out in some regions of the world sometime this week, though if you were anticipating that launch, it turns out you’re going to have to wait a little bit longer.

Respawn Entertainment recently took to Twitter to provide an update on the soft launch on the battle royale shooter’s mobile version. The developer says that Apex Legends Mobile will now launch on March 7, with its release being delayed “due to current world events”, referring to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and the ongoing conflict in the region.

When Apex Legends Mobile launches next week for iOS and Android devices, at first, it’ll only be available in select countries- namely, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Indonesia, Mexico, Peru, Argentina, and Colombia. Respawn has also previously confirmed that the mobile shooter won’t feature cross-play support with Apex Legends on PC and consoles, since it is “built specifically for mobile.”

Meanwhile, recent developments have suggested that Apex Legends could soon be seeing its native launch on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S as well. The current-gen versions of the game have been in the works for quite some time, and Respawn says that news will be arriving on that front “very, very shortly.”
