Capcom has released a number of trailers detailing all of the different new abilities coming to Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak. Whether you fancy extra hits with Long Sword counters or even more stylish combos with the Switch Axe, there’s something for everyone (except Lance users, sadly). In a Steam post going over the new Silkbind and Switch Skills, “Hopping Skewers” are also mentioned.

This is essentially a new optional mechanic for your Dango skills. It levels up two Dango Skills, making them even stronger, but weakens the third in the process. Activation chances for the enhanced skills also drop slightly but it seems using a Dango Ticket can help mitigate this. Capcom says there’s “lots to experiment with” so it should be interesting to see what dishes players can cook up.

Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak is out on June 30th for PC and Nintendo Switch. It introduces a new region, a new base in Elgado Outpost, Master Rank armor and weapons, a new Elder Dragon in Malzeno, and Followers for certain quests. Much like the base game, it will also receive free content updates post-launch.
