Fatshark’s co-op shooter Warhammer 40,000: Darktide has been delayed. Originally slated to release on September 13th, it’s now launching on November 30th for PC. The Xbox Series X/S version will arrive shortly after this with a specific launch date still to be announced.

In a new tweet, CEO and co-founder Martin Wahlund said, “Delaying a game is perhaps one of the most difficult decisions a developer faces and one we are not excited about making. Still, we hope this speaks to our commitment to taking the time necessary and doing whatever it takes to get you the best possible game.

“While we have been humbled by the great feedback on the game so far, we also need more time to improve stability, performance, and mature key systems. Each is critical to making sure we have the best possible experience for you, the players.” In the meantime, the developer will host technical tests and betas before the full launch. Those who are interested can sign up here for a chance at the same.

This isn’t the first delay for the Warhammer 40,000: Darktide – it was previously slated to release last year and then this year in Spring. A good amount of gameplay has been released over the past two months and the developer has confirmed that the title will target 4K/60 FPS on Xbox Series X. Stay tuned for more details on the upcoming technical tests and beta along with more gameplay footage in the meantime.
