Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered launched for PC last week, and while that does, of course, mean that a large number of people have been diving into the superhero title’s offerings on a new platform for the first time, that launch has also gone hand-in-hand with the sort of stuff that PC releases are usually associated with. For instance, players have been digging into the game’s files and discovering completely new things.

Recently, for instance, we reported that evidence found in the game’s PC files suggests that Insomniac was, at one point, experimenting with PvP and co-op content for the game. Now, as reported by VGC, files have also been discovered that point to potential integration of PSN accounts with future PC releases by PlayStation.

Multiple files have references such as “PSNAccountLinked”, “PSNLinkingEntitlements”, and “PSN Linking bonuses”, suggesting that either Insomniac Games, port developer Nixxes Software, and Sony were toying with adding PSN integration with Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered itself, or it’s something that is being experimented on in preparation of future plans.

Of course, given how abundantly clear Sony has made that it plans to expand its presence in the PC space, it wouldn’t be a complete surprise to see it offering PSN integration with its releases on PC going forward.
