Monster Hunter Rise’s massive expansion Sunbreak continues to sell well for Capcom. It recently crossed four million units sold with the base game surpassing 11 million units sold worldwide. The latter is driven by bundles with Sunbreak and “ongoing pricing strategies” (which may relate to recent sales).

Available since June 30th for PC and Nintendo Switch, Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak sees players venturing to a brand new region to face the Three Lords. In addition to new monsters and subspecies, Master Rank quests are also available for a tougher challenge (which leads to stronger MR armor and higher rarity weapons). New Follower Quests also allow for hunting with various NPCs.

Title Update 1 went live earlier this month and added new monsters like Lucent Nargacuga, Seething Bazelgeuse, Silver Rathalos and Gold Rathian. It also introduced Anomaly Investigations for even tougher quests, and Qurious Crafting for further upgrading armor and augmenting weapons. The next Title Update is due in late September so stay tuned for more details.
