Konami has finally officially lifted the lid on Silent Hill’s long-awaited revival, and a number of new games have been announced, including a remake of Silent Hill 2a new mainline entry titled Silent Hill fNo Code and Annapurna Interactive’s spinoff Silent Hill: Townfalland real-time interactive series Silent Hill: Ascension. Clearly, Konami is taking the series’ comeback seriously- and it seems it’s got plans for more games down the line.

In a PlayStation Blog post, former Nintendo veteran Motoi Okamoto, who’s now serving as Silent Hill‘s producer, has confirmed that beyond the aforementioned announced titles, Konami intends to continue releasing new Silent Hill games going forward, for which the company will keep partnering with developers from around the world.

“We will create new games for the series together with those who were a part of Silent Hill, but also with creators who love the franchise,” Okamoto wrote. “We will expand our partnerships and broaden the world of Silent Hill together with teams that love the series from around the globe. Above all, together with long-time Silent Hill fans and new fans-to-be, we will raise the Silent Hill series to new heights.”

There’s no word yet on when any of the new Silent Hill titles will be released, but new details have emerged on Silent Hill 2, courtesy of Konami and developer Bloober Team. The game will feature a rebuilt combat system and will have no load times, thanks to the PS5’s SSD. Meanwhile, its PC requirements have also been revealed.
