UPDATE: As reported by Gematsu on Twitter, the Japanese PlayStation Blog announcement of the presentation confirms it will run over 45 minutes and “showcase new reveals and the latest information and gameplay for 16 new titles across PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation VR2.”

Original story follows:

Following recent rumours that Sony will have a new State of Play presentation scheduled for sometime this month, the company has officially confirmed that that is indeed the case. A State of Play presentation has been announced for this Thursday, February 23, at 1 PM Pacific / 4 PM Eastern / 9 PM GMT / 10 PM CET.

The highlight of the show will be Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice LeagueDue out this May, we’ve yet to see any gameplay footage for Rocksteady’s upcoming title, but the upcoming State of Play will show off an extended look featuring over 15 minutes of gameplay.

In addition, the presentation will also feature new looks at other upcoming third party titles, as well as announcements of five PS VR2 games that are set to release later this year.

There’s no mention of whether Sony will show off upcoming first party titles like Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 or the standalone multiplayer The Last of Us game, but given the fact that aforementioned rumours have claimed those showings are being held back for a larger PlayStation Showcase for a few months from now, it might be safe to assume they won’t be making an appearance.
