Along with revealing gameplay for Siegfried in Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising, Cygames also announced a new date for the online beta. Planned for May on PS4 and PS5, it’s set for mid-July. The game’s release hasn’t been affected, with Cygames “still on track to meet our initial target,” per creative director Tetsuya Fukuhara.
Release dates will be announced after the beta is over. After the next character reveal early next month, details on new mechanics, game modes, and more will roll out, per Fukuhara. Stay tuned in the meantime for more updates.
Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising launches in 2023 for PS4, PS5 and PC. As a follow-up to 2020’s Granblue Fantasy Versus, it features the previous game’s roster (including DLC characters) and a new Story Mode. New gameplay mechanics include Dash Attack, Triple Attack and the new Ultimate Skills to go with Skybound Arts. There will also be rollback netcode and cross-platform multiplayer support with a new lobby system.
