It’s a day of good news for Xbox, with Starfield having gone gold and Forza Motorsport shaping up well. On top of this, Tango Gameworks’ Hi-Fi Rush has achieved a new milestone, crossing three million players since launching last January for Xbox Series X/S and PC.

The last major milestone for the rhythmic hack-and-slash title was in March at two million players. Being on Game Pass has doubtless helped, but while Microsoft hasn’t announced sales, Xbox Games Marketing VP Aaron Greenberg denied rumors of low sales. He called it “a breakout hit for us and our players in all key measurements and expectations.”

For more details on Hi-Fi Rush, check out our review and its accolades trailer here. It received a hefty update last month with the Arcade Challenge! Update!, adding two new modes – BPM Rush and Power Up! Tower Up! The former sees the beat and action becoming faster as players defeat enemies without missing any beats, and the latter puts a rogue-lite spin on the Rhythm Tower. Head here for our impressions of the same.
