MachineGames’ Indiana Jones and the Great Circle received a new trailer (via IGN) during Xbox’s Tokyo Game Show stream, highlighting some more gameplay and the Japanese voice acting. While there weren’t many more new details, the first-person combat looks nice and crunchy, whether it’s Indy slapping thugs around or dealing heavy punches.

A bit of first-person platforming, which transitions smoothly to third-person when the player swings with the whip through some ruins, is also showcased. Set sometime between Raiders of the Lost Ark and The Last Crusade, the Great Circle sees Indy and investigates the titular phenomenon.

His adventure spans locations like the Himalayas, Egypt and Rome. Despite some gunplay, the developer says it’s not encouraged, as players rely on fisticuffs, stealth and ingenuity to deal with threats. Indy has plenty of abilities to unlock to that end, which can help clear out optional content in previously cleared areas.

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle launches on December 9th for Xbox Series X/S and PC (with Premium and Collector’s Edition owners receiving three days of early access). It’s also coming to PS5 in Spring 2025.
