While Bethesda and Amazon together are working on the second season of the Fallout adaptation, actor Aaron Moten has revealed that there are plans for the series to go up to five or six seasons. Spotted by Reddit user TOZAR_N7, Moten spoke during a panel at Liverpool Comic Con, revealing that he understands the overarching story that the show is trying to tell.

“When I signed on to do the series, we would have a starting point and then they gave me the endpoint,” said Moten, who plays the role of Brotherhood of Steel member Maximus, at the panel. “That endpoint hasn’t changed, but it is [a] season five, six type of endpoint, you know? We’ve always known we’re going to take our time with the development of the characters.”

Filming on the second season of the Fallout series has been described as being completed. It first began back in November 2024. However, production hit issues because of the fires going around California back in January 2025. Due to the fires, production on several projects had been halted, including Abbott Elementary, Hacks, Ted, and Fallout.

The Amazon Prime adaptation of Fallout made its debut last week and ended up being quite popular. At the time, reports indicated that the show had garnered more than 5 million views in its first week alone. Eventually, the show managed to hit major pop culture fame, getting more than 65 million viewers in first few weeks. This ultimately led to a second season for the show getting greenlit back in April 2024.

While the storyline for the second season of Fallout is currently still shrouded in secrecy, the ending for the first season would indicate that we might to get to see the adaptation tackle storylines inspired by Obsidian’s Fallout: New Vegas.

In a previous interview with GamesRadar, actor Waltor Goggins, who plays the Ghoul Cooper Howard in Fallout, spoke about being excited for the upcoming second season. While he didn’t reveal many details, his excitement did indicate that there would be plenty of plot twists that viewers might not be ready for.

“I can tell you, being a big fan of the first season, that I’m so proud of – I’m not talking about my work, but all of the work that so many artists kind of put into that, like all the love that went into that – this is a whole ‘nother level,” Goggins said. “I wasn’t prepared for where the story was gonna go and how fully fleshed out on the other side of introducing this world to people. Now it is so lived in as if it’s been there for two hundred years. It’s really quite something. I can’t wait for people to see it.”

In the meantime, Bethesda also mentioned that the success of the Amazon Prime show also led to an uptick in popularity for the Fallout games. In an interview, Fallout 76 creative director Jon Rush spoke about the show inspiring viewers to revisit some of the older games in the franchise, going all the way back to Fallout 3.
