Remember that Legendary Warbond announced for Helldivers 2 that brings the much-anticipated Warhammer 40,000 universe to Super Earth? It’s set to be revealed on July 30th, according to Arrowhead Game Studios. Further details are pending, but it provided a short teaser clip, showing a Helldiver grabbing the iconic Bolt Pistol.
It’s safe to say that players will be able to acquire new weapons from the franchise, potentially including the Bolt Carbine and Chainsword. Armor sets are also a given, and it wouldn’t be surprising to see different Chapters of Space Marines represented in the fight. Whether the development team has anything else planned for the collaboration remains to be seen.
The Helldivers 2 X Warhammer 40,000 Legendary Warbond doesn’t have a release date, but it will likely be revealed next week. Unlike regular Warbonds, it should set players back by 1,500 Super Credits, if it follows the same pattern as Halo: ODST and Killzone.
You have to wonder if Arrowhead cracking down on exploits to quickly earn Super Credits was timed with this Legendary Warbond’s arrival. Either way, the studio has been working to get back into the good graces of players, debuting support for different upscalers, introducing Galactic Campaigns, rebalancing armor penetration, and much more.
