Housemarque’s big end-of-year update for Saros, Zenith, is out now. The free update adds new features, including new Carcosan Modifiers and Overlord Rush, a boss rush mode. Check out the launch trailer below.
Regarding modifiers, ten new Protection types offer even more advantage. For example, Corruption Melee Enhancement adds the debuff to your next melee attack, significantly increasing the damage. If you’re looking for more challenge, ten new Trial Modifiers, including Hostile Regeneration where stunned large enemies regenerate after a period, are available.
Whatever your flavor of difficulty, they’re necessary for New Game+, which requires a certain number of modifiers to progress through the new Eclipse Layers. As you progress and complete more challenges, a crown and golden armor begin to form. Not only that, but you’ll discover Visions on Carcosa for more lore. The only problem is you’ll need to achieve higher crown levels to unlock them, so get cracking through New Game+.
Finally, Overlord Rush, which offers three sets of gauntlets against the game’s bosses. Incursion and Ascension offer three each, but Totality matches you against all eight. If nothing else, it’s worth competing to see how you compare against the rest of the world on the leaderboards.
