Mega Man Dual Override Reveals Cook Man, the “Kitchen Kung Fu” Robot Master

"Let him cook...man," says Capcom about its fourth Robot Master, who employs kitchen utensils and quick melee strikes to dominate.

If Mega Man Dual Override seemed a little low-key after the last Capcom Spotlight showcase, the developer has revealed the fourth Robot Master fans will fight: Cook Man. Bearing almost Iron Chef-like attire, the “kitchen kung fu” master battles Mega Man and Proto Man in what else but a restaurant.

In fact, the stage platform is a massive pan with vegetables ready to serve. Throughout the fight, you’ll have to deal with his bladed ponytail and utensils as projectiles. What happens when he gets enraged? Strangely enough, massive bombs drop from above, which we’re not sure is compliant with safety standards.

It doesn’t necessarily look like a cakewalk for Mega Man, but Proto Man could struggle more, having to get up close to deal damage. Then again, his shield can absorb plenty of damage before unleashing a powerful melee attack.

This is likely where the 50+ Custom Chips will come in handy, offering such benefits as a faster-firing Buster and a Barrier to block damage. Dual Override mode also offers a quick boost if things get a little too dicey.

Mega Man Dual Override launches this Spring for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, PS4, Xbox One, PC, Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2. Could we expect a release date at The Game Awards? Time will tell, so stay tuned.
