Microsoft’s X019 is taking place tomorrow at 12 PM PT along with the “biggest” Inside Xbox episode yet. Several reveals are teased tomorrow with games like Bleeding Edge, Sea of Thieves and whatnot making an appearance. However, it will also see the debut of the first gameplay footage for Age of Empires 4.
Microsoft’s Aaron Greenberg teased the reveal on Twitter with a GIF of a falcon flying over a landscape and the words “A new Age is upon us”. There haven’t been a ton of other details for the real-time strategy title, save for the fact that it’s developed by Relic Entertainment. The studio is best known for the Warhammer 40K: Dawn of War and Company of Heroes franchises.
While gameplay will be revealed, can a release window also be expected? The title is most definitely coming to PC but what about Xbox One? And will it release on Xbox Game Pass as well? There are tons of questions but we’ll have to wait till tomorrow for the answers.
Meanwhile, Age of Empires 2: Definitive Edition is slated for release tomorrow and will be available on the Microsoft Store, Steam and Xbox Game Pass PC.
