Age of Empires 4 is set to receive its first Season with Festival of Ages. Though a start date has yet to be confirmed, World’s Edge and Relic Entertainment have detailed all of the upcoming features. Check out the latest trailer below to see them at a glance.

Among the big new additions is the Content Editor which launches as a beta. Designed for custom matches, it allows for creating maps, buffing certain units to the point of absurdity and much more. The development team has also designed some mods as well and there will be an upcoming stream that goes over all of the editor’s tools.

There’s also Ranked Seasons which allows players to compete and climb the ladder along with Seasonal Events for unlocking rewards via challenge completion. Quality of life features like a global build queue and improvements to hotkeys are also coming along with a new Art of War: Advanced Combat challenge and MegaRandom map.
