Alan Wake 2 and Baldur’s Gate 3 Lead The Game Awards 2023 Nominations

The full list of nominees for The Game Awards 2023 has been revealed, and the two games that have come out on top with the highest number of nominations are Alan Wake 2 and Baldur’s Gate 3, both of which have been nominated in eight different categories. Both games are nominated for Game of the Year, where they are joined by Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, Resident Evil 4, Super Mario Bros. Wonder, and The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

The aforementioned Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is next in the list for most nominations, having been nominated in seven categories, followed by Hi-Fi Rush, Super Mario Bros. Wonder, and The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, with five nominations for each. Meanwhile, Cyberpunk 2077 and Final Fantasy 16 have four nominations each, while Resident Evil 4 and Street Fighter 6 have both picked up three.

Nintendo is the top nominated publisher this year, having received 15 nominations in total. It’s followed by Sony with 13 nominations, Microsoft (including Bethesda and Activision Blizzard) with 10 nominations, Epic Games with nine, Capcom, Larian Studios, and Square Enix with eight each, EA with 6, and Riot Games and CD Projekt RED with four each.
