We’d like to say that BioWare’s Anthem has seen better days. However, the shared world looter shooter has been in trouble pretty much since its development. Recently, based on a tweet by lead producer Michael Gamble, some people inferred that he and executive producer Mark Darrah were done with Anthem and moving to the next Dragon Age.

Given the delay to many of the post-launch roadmap’s features, fans aren’t exactly hopeful for the game’s future. However, BioWare’s head of live service Chad Robertson confirmed that the studio is “100 percent committed to Anthem.” It’s also looking forward to showing off new content to players.

“We want to make sure we aren’t over-promising, so our updates on what’s coming in the game will be focused when we have things near completion,” said Robertson in his tweet. He followed up by tweeting that there was “a big team between Austin and Edmonton focused and motivated for improving the game.”

Even Gamble weighed in with another tweet, noting, “There’s been a lot of (incorrect) speculation on this. The studio’s support and commitment to Anthem HAS. NOT. CHANGED.”

BioWare may appear committed to Anthem, but it’s still very much invested in the next Dragon Age. The latter was teased at The Game Awards 2018, and reports indicate that it will also be a live service game (that too after its original premise was scrapped). We’re a long way off from seeing it though, so stay tuned for more details in the coming months (or years).
