Respawn Entertainment’s Apex Legends saw the release of its latest season yesterday but it wasn’t without issues. What started as service issues due to high demand extended to the Marketplace being restricted. Eventually, more players were able to get into matches as the developer worked through issues with inventories and the Battle Pass.
After several hours, Season 9 – Legacy went live and, as per Steam Stats, saw a peak concurrent player total of 313,839 players. Considering console players, it’s easy to understand why servers initially faced issues. In terms of content, Season 9 – Legacy is the biggest update to the game yet with its map changes, new Bocek Bow weapon and new Legend, Valkyrie.
It also adds Arenas, a new permanent 3v3 mode with its own custom maps, and various balance changes. That’s along with the new Battle Pass and other challenges. Stay tuned for more details on additional content as the season progresses.
