After selling more than two million copies in a day, Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced has hit a brand new milestone in its first week. It’s sold over three million copies, matching last year’s Assassin’s Creed Shadows (though that was players).
However, on Steam, the remake has reportedly pulled in more revenue despite being priced $10 lower. Alinea Analytics estimated over 700,000 copies sold on the platform, resulting in $35.1 million in revenue. And despite the backlash against its Character and Naval Packs, it apparently earned almost $1 million in additional revenue from the same. There’s also the fact that its peak concurrent player count is much higher, recently crossing 104,000.
What’s next for the remake? Judging by Ubisoft’s tweet, New Game Plus, which game director Richard Knight confirmed to be in development. There’s no ETA on it, but it will seemingly take cues from Shadows’ format, even if the possibility of additional rewards is up in the air.
Besides PC, Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced is available for Xbox Series X/S and PS5. You can also play it through Ubisoft+.
