Ubisoft has a number of major Assassin’s Creed projects currently in the works, and though the majority of them are mainline titles being made for PC and consoles, the company is working on expanding the series’ presence on mobile platforms as well. Earlier this year, Assassin’s Creed Codename Jade was one of several new Assassin’s Creed games to be announced, and as a full-fledged open world RPG coming to mobile devices, it naturally garnered plenty of attention.
Now, a new leak has gone live that offers a more substantial look at the game. Courtesy of a Reddit user, a video has emerged that shows several minutes of gameplay- and it’s looking surprisingly good. Showing a sequence where a fortress is being attacked by enemy forces, the footage shows impressive visuals and all the bells and whistles with parkour and combat that you’d expect to see in an Assassin’s Creed title. Check it out through the link above.
The next mainline Assassin’s Creed title is the stealth-focused Assassin’s Creed Mirage, which is reportedly due out in August 2023. Meanwhile, Ubisoft is also at work on the next big flagship titles in the franchise with the open world action RPG Assassin’s Creed Codename RED, which is set in feudal Japan, and Assassin’s Creed Codename HEXE, which is meant to be a darker and more unique instalment and centers around witch burnings in medieval Europe.
A recent report claimed that Codename RED has faced development issues behind-the-scenes- read more on that through here.
