Following the release of Title Update 1.5.0, the first free weekend for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is now available. PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PC and Google Stadia players can thus enjoy the base game until February 28th. Any progress made will transfer over into the full game.

Of course, there is more content to experience beyond the campaign. Two expansions – Wrath of the Druids and The Siege of Paris – have been added post-launch. There’s also free content like Assassin’s Creed Crossover Stories which sees Eivor interacting with Kassandra from Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. All of this is in addition to the free events, new abilities, and challenges.

Another expansion, Dawn of Ragnarok, is slated to release on March 10th. It sees Odin embarking on a journey to defeat Surtr the fire giant and rescue his son Baldur. Promising over 35 hours of new gameplay with new abilities and loot to unlock, it also takes a more heavy-handed mythological approach to its story. For more details, check out the deep dive here.
