Square Enix's Yosuke Saito added that other projects were in the works.

One game that we’ve eagerly awaited new information on is Babylon’s Fall from Square Enix. Developed by PlatinumGames of NieR: Automata fame, the title was revealed at E3 2018 for PS4 and PC. It was slated to release this year but its absence at E3 2019 and subsequent lack of information has scuttled that idea.

However, it seems new information will be offered before this year is up. Square Enix executive producer Yosuke Saito spoke to Automaton recently and was if the company would be releasing new details in 2019. Saito said, “Yes, we’ll be doing that.” He also mentioned that other projects were currently in the works.

2019 is almost over so it wouldn’t be too strange to receive a simple update in December. PlatinumGames has been fairly busy this year – it finished up its work on Cygames’ Granblue Fantasy: Relink and released Astral Chain for the Nintendo Switch. It’s currently working on Lost Order for mobiles and Bayonetta 3 for the Switch, the latter which is also yet to receive any gameplay footage.
