With how massive Baldur’s Gate 3 is, it’s incredible to see some of the stats from Larian Studios, like players spending over 8100 years in the Character Creator. However, thanks to Patch 5 dropping last week and adding the punishing new Honour Mode, there are even crazier numbers to glean, like 158,000 playthroughs started and over 34,000 players dying in the new difficulty.
Over the weekend, only 464 players have completed it, earning the coveted golden D20. Other lifetime stats include over 51,662 years of playtime among the player base, 1.2 million characters being compelling to dance against their will, and over 30 percent embracing their new Illithid powers by Act 2.
Head here for more details on Patch 5 and what makes Honour Mode so challenging (the lack of save scumming being one). Baldur’s Gate 3 is out on PS5 and PC but will also launch on Xbox Series X/S this December. Stay tuned for details on its release at The Game Awards later this week.
💀 Number of you who started an Honour Mode playthrough? 158'000
🩻 Of those players, 464 parties have made it to the end already. 34'000 of you…have already met your match. Better luck next time. pic.twitter.com/sLZ53yxHS4— Larian Studios (@larianstudios) December 5, 2023
